State Council makes recommendations for internet bill

The French State Council has proposed 50 recommendations to adjust internet law to a new landscape after the Snowden affair, breached security of photos in the cloud and a European Court decision on the right to be forgotten, reports Les Echos. The administrative court recommended the establishment of a new judicial category for web platforms and legislation on the use of algorithms in its latest annual report. The prime minister's office is due to launch a large consultation process on the digital economy in the next few days, to be followed by an internet bill in early 2015. It will attempt
