Steamroot raises fresh USD 3.2 mln to develop OTT video delivery systems

Streamroot, a provider of OTT video delivery systems, said it raised USD 3.2 million during its last its last funding, taking the total raised to date to USD 6 million. The company will use the money to push its development. The latest contribution came from Partech Ventures, Techstars Venture Capital Fund, Verizon Ventures and R/GA, among others. 

Founded in early 2014, Streamroot said uses intelligent mesh networks and dynamic multi-sourcing of content. It now powers over 400 million video sessions every month and works with many media groups, including Dailymotion, Canal+, Eurosport and Russia Today. The company also offers cross-device compatibility across desktop, mobile and a range of set-top boxes.
