STL acquires Italian optical interconnects vendor Optotec for EUR 29 mln

The deal is subject to customary regulatory approvals and will be financed by a mix of internal accruals and foreign currency debt instruments. STL said it hoped the acquisition would create a solid springboard to offer a complete portfolio of solutions to customers across Europe, India and the Middle East, above all in view of accelerated investments in fibre network infrastructure to support services such as 5G, FTTH and edge cloud.
