STMicroelectronics forecasts drop in Q2 revenue as demand softens

STMicroelectronics reported first-quarter revenues of USD 2.23 billion, up 7.5 percent from a year earlier and at the low end of its guidance. The company said manufacturing and logistics were impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic and related government measures and these will continue to weigh on results in Q2. The chipmaker lowered its capex forecast for the full year.
