Strategy Analytics says IoT market value overstated

The projected market value of IoT solutions has been overstated and will be in the billions not trillions of dollars, according to a study by Strategy Analytics. After interviewing IT decision makers across nine vertical markets in the US, UK, France and Germany in January, the market researcher concluded that most IoT projects are still small-scale and significant obstacles remain for the market to take off, including security, integration with legacy systems, standards, and privacy and compliance concerns.
