Stream upgrades Glasgow LoRaWAN for geolocation services

Monday 23 January 2017 | 09:00 CET | News
Stream Technologies announced an upgrade of its Glsgow IoT network. Together with partners Censis, Boston Networks and Semtech, the company has upgraded to a Version 2 LoRaWAN network in Glasgow, which enables a range of applications that require the determination of a location as part of the overall service. This functionality does not require any additional data or power from the end-devices, and therefore enables GPS-free geolocation services on devices with up to 10 years of battery life. Stream will now provide cellular, Wi-Fi and LoRa-based geolocation services on a single interface.
