Strong LatAm operator loyalty could change with right offer

Only 20 percent or less of mobile phone users in Latin America have switched their service provider in the last 12 months, according to a survey by GfK. However, when presented with various scenarios of improved offers, the percentage of respondents who said they would switch soars to between 35 and 59 percent. The survey of around 4,900 mobile phone users in the six biggest Latin American countries revealed that over the past year just 20 percent of mobile phone users in Columbia have changed their provider, followed by 19 percent in Brazil and Mexico, 17 percent in Chile and Peru, and just
