Suddenlink sales up 5.3% in Q2, loses 8,000 customers

US cable operator Suddenlink reported second-quarter revenues of USD 640 million, up 5.3 percent from a year earlier, and adjusted EBITDA increased USD 292 million from USD 246 million a year ago. Capital expenditure fell to USD 81 million from USD 115 million. Parent company Altice said Suddenlink was sustaining growth comfortably above last year's levels, despite a seasonal decline in customer numbers in Q2. The operator lost 8,000 residential customers in the quarter, including 2,000 broadband users and 23,000 TV subscribers, but this was better than the customer losses in the year-earlier
