Sunrise Q1 revenues rise 6.3 percent, net income up by nearly 30 percent

Swiss mobile operator Sunrise increased its Q1 revenue by 6.4 percent (IFRS 15: +6.3 percent) to CHF 458 million, driven by hardware revenue. Net income (IFRS 15) increased by 29.9 percent year-on-year to CHF 17 million. Service revenue growth accelerated to +3 percent. The company saw a strong customer growth in mobile postpaid by 7.6 percent, internet by 11.6 percent and TV by 25.7 percent, driven by growth investments in the network, service and products. For mobile postpaid, it was the best performance since 2011.
