Sunrise revenues drop 3.3%, net profit grows

Swiss fixed and mobile operator Sunrise reports CHF 431 million in revenues for the first quarter, down by 3.3 percent year-on-year mainly due to the decrease in MTR fees per 1 January of this year. Without the MTR decrease, Sunrise revenues would have dropped by only 1 percent year-on-year. The quarterly EBITDA grew by 1.4 percent year-on-year to CHF 141 million and Sunrise's net profit improved by almost 90 percent year-on-year to CHF 13 million for the first quarter. Sunrise mobile customer base grew by 0.1 percent year-on-year to 2.4 million on 31 March, driven by 6.2 percent more
