Superfast North Yorkshire boosts local economy - study

The first phase of the Superfast North Yorkshire project has contributed GBP 36 million to the local economy, according to a report from Regeneris Consulting. This could grow to GBP 220 million over the next two years. The figures are based on a range of factors including changes in internet use by businesses connected to fibre and the resulting impact on turnover, profitability and employment. The report highlights a range of benefits for businesses connected to the new fibre broadband network, and shows that a high proportion of SMEs have become more productive and grown as a result of
