Supreme court backs VKI in T-Mobile Austria e-billing case

Austrian consumer information group VKI said the Supreme Court has backed it in its case against T-Mobile Austria for automatically switching customers to internet billing unless they expressly opted out. At the beginning of 2013, some 172,000 T-Mobile and Tele.ring customers received a paper invoice telling them this was their hard copy and that they would be getting online bills in future as this was more practical and better for the environment.
