SVoD services grow to 4% of total daily viewing in UK

Thursday 10 March 2016 | 09:33 CET | News
UK consumers watched an average 77 minutes a week of subscription VoD services like Netflix and Amazon Prime last year, nearly double the 40 minutes in 2014, the Guardian reports. Despite the strong growth, sVoD still only accounts for 4 percent of the total 4 hours 35 minutes per day spent on video content, according to a report published by TV industry marketing body Thinkbox. Traditional TV viewing accounted for 76 percent, or three hours and 51 minutes per day, close to 28 hours per week.
