Swazi govt changed MTN licence to make it sole mobile firm

The Swazi government has altered Swaziland MTN's 3G licence to remove a clause that allowed the Swaziland Posts and Telecommunications Corporation (SPTC) to provide wireless broadband services. According to Times, the original licence issued by SPTC, as regulator of the communications industry, on 25 August, 2011, restrained Swazi MTN from being the sole company authorised to offer mobile data services. However, when the government took over regulatory powers from the SPTC, Swazi MTN moved an application to be granted an upgraded version of the licence, and this was granted on 22 September,
