Swedes had better fibre access in 2020 than other Nordic and Baltic populations

Monday 13 September 2021 | 13:03 CET | News
Access to fibre networks was greater in Sweden than any other country in the Nordic and Baltic regions in 2020, according to Swedish communications regulator PTS. This was based on figures processed by the Nordic-Baltic Working Group on Statistics and Definitions and taken from the watchdogs in Sweden, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania and Norway. In Sweden, 35 out of 100 residents subscribed to an internet service with a download speed of 100 Mbps, followed by Iceland at 28 out of 100.
