Swedish average monthly SVoD spending rises by SEK 30 in 2018

Spending on media services rose to an average of SEK 450 per month in Sweden in 2018, with expenditure on video increasing by almost 20 percent compared with 2017, said consultancy Medivision. Video made up two thirds of monthly spending, and digital pay-TV accounted for most of that. However, subscription video services (SVoD) such as Netflix, Viaplay and HBO Nordic grew the fastest with a 44 percent rise from 2017, or an increase of SEK 30 per household.
