Swedish govt aims to coordinate national broadband grids

The Swedish Broadband Forum said the government has commissioned former infrastructure minister Asa Torstensson to look into making the usage of state-owned broadband networks more efficient. Sweden has progressed towards its goal of providing broadband at 100 Mbps to 90 percent of homes and businesses by 2020 but to ensure it does so, state bodies have a major role to play, for instance, by giving local networks acecss to the national grids.
