Swedish govt gives SEK 30 mln to Data Protection Agency to step up privacy safeguarding

The Swedish government is granting the Data Protection Authority SEK 30 million to bolster its work on protecting privacy, and the agency will change its name from Datainspektionen to Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, said Local Fibre Alliance SSNf. The authority is being commissioned to provide support and advice to ensure that services are developed that improve quality of life while safeguarding personal information.
