Swedish govt to cut stake in TeliaSonera

Wednesday 9 February 2011 | 13:25 CET | News
Sweden's government said it plans to take part in TeliaSonera's SEK 10 billion share buyback programme. The government owns 37.3 percent in TeliaSonera and last sold an 8 percent stake in the operator in May 2007. "The government intends to participate in TeliaSonera's buyback program in accordance with the Swedish state ownership, given that the terms are attractive and that the stakeholding of about 37.3 percent remains the same," Dow Jones reported the Finance Ministry as saying. Terms of the buyback programme are expected at the end of February.
