Swedish parliamentary parties mull ban on unregistered SIMs

All the parties in the Swedish parliament are in favour of considering a ban on unregistered mobile phone numbers, reports Swedish Radio's P3 News. The suspected Drottninggatan terrorist, who goes on trial on 13 February, was found to have used 53 different numbers, saying that he had used free SIM cards being handed out on the street by phone operators. The two largest parties, the Social Democrats and Moderate Party, are both proposing legislation that would ban untraceable SIM cards, said the radio station.
