Swedish PTS reviews remuneration for providing stored data for law enforcement

Swedish postal and telecoms regulator PTS said it is reviewing the rules that govern compensation to operators for the disclosure of stored information during the investigation of a crime. The current regulations from 2014 are based on costs assessed in 2012 and 2013 and so do not take into account changes brought about by last year's law on covert data surveillance (HDA) and proposed legislative amendments linked to the Council of Europe Convention on cybercrime.
