Swedish regulator says facilities for cash withdrawals and deposits comply with 25 km distance rule

Thursday 24 June 2021 | 12:21 CET | News
The Swedish Post and Telecom Agency (PTS) said that at the beginning of March 2021, provision of cash withdrawal and cash deposit services in Sweden were within limits, and it has no need to refer provision to the Financial Supervisory Authority. It said 0.26 percent of the population must travel more than 25 km to the nearest place to withdraw cash, which is below the legal limit of 0.3 percent. At the same time, 1.11 percent have over 25 km to go to make daily cash deposits, below the maximum of 1.22 percent.
