Swedish telecom operators resolve user data protection gaps

The Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS) said major operators under its supervision have resolved shortcomings in the way they were handling customer data. PTS said operators had interpreted information more narrowly than the regulator had done so, chiefly by overlooking physical items such as connections, but also by only considering the individual subscriber rather than protecting all relevant communications.
