Swiss cantons Bern and Zurich are working together on a joint e-health platform, developed by the non-profit organisation Axsana, in cooperation with Swisscom. This will allow inhabitants of both cantons to provide data via an electronic patient dossier from 2020, reported inside-IT.ch. The Executive Council of Bern has granted CHF 50,000 to participate in the regional association Axsana. The Cantonal Parliament will decide on a loan of CHF 1.8 million for further financing of the project in spring 2018.
