Swiss consumer protection association calls for Sunrise to accept written cancellations

Swiss consumer protection association Konsumentenschutz is asking Sunrise to stop the new practice introduced recently under its new general terms and conditions of only accepting notice from customers via a phone call or chat, and not in e-mail or writing. The operator gives optimisation as the reason for the new rule, but Konsumentenschutz considers it unfavourable to consumers, as voice communication could be used to persuade the customer to not to terminate their service, which some might find unpleasant.
