Swiss e-commerce transactions grow by 8% to CHF 10 bln in 2019

The volume of e-commerce transactions in Switzerland in 2019 increased by 8 percent to a total of CHF 10 billion, according to a study by the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW and Datatrans. The study, based in a survey of 35 Swiss online and multichannel providers, predicts a growth in e-commerce in Switzerland this year of between 20 percent to 33 percent because of the lockdown enforced to halt the spread of the coronavirus.
