Swiss Federal Council extends agreement with SRG to finance foreign programmes

The Swiss Federal Council has extended the agreement with the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SRG) for other two years to support information for Swiss people living abroad and to boost the presence of the country in foreign media. In 2021 and 2022, the federal government will finance the internet platform swissinfo.ch and the Italian-language website tvsvizzera.it, as well the cooperation with international television channels TV5Monde and 3sat to the tune of CHF 19.5 million per year.
