Swiss internet penetration reaches 84%

A total 84 percent of the Swiss population browsed the internet in the first quarter of 2014, according to a recent survey by the Swiss Federal Statistical Office (BFS). This is up from 78 percent in 2010. The use of social networks increased the most since the last survey in 2010, especially among the age group 35-44 year olds, almost half of whom were active users.
