Swiss lower house approves gambling website barriers

The Swiss National Council has voted in favour of blocking foreign gambling websites within Switzerland. The move by the lower house of parliament would see access to foreign casino websites blocked to Swiss IP addresses, while Swiss casinos would need an 'online licence' to operate. The legislation was previously approved by the federal upper house.
