Swiss Media Minister argues against No Billag initiative

Thursday 14 December 2017 | 09:05 CET | News
Doris Leuthard, Swiss Minister of Media, has intervened in the No Billag initiative calling for the cancellation of radio and television licence fees, reported Swissinfo.ch. She argues that there is no Plan B for financing public TV and radio if licence fees are scrapped. According to her, it is not about how much public service from SRG and many other TV and radio stations there will be, but rather if there will be any at all. The plebiscite on the No Billag proposal will take place on 04 March 2018.
