Swiss operators oppose plans to regulate tacit contract extensions

Swiss association of ICT providers Swico has opposed a parliamentary initiative aiming to regulate tacit extensions of consumer contracts, reported CEToday.ch. The initiative proposes to impose an obligation on operators to inform customers of their option to cancel a contract one month before the end of its period. Otherwise, the customer will be able to terminate the contract at any time without penalty during the contract extension.
