Swisscom creates health subsidiary Swisscom Health

Swisscom founded a subsidiary in the health sector, Swisscom Health, Handelszeitung.ch reports. The new company, with an expected 90 members of staff, will cover the areas of billing system for physicians Curabill, the electronic health record Evita, corporate health and sports management with relevant sensors and apps for employees and runners. Former Microsoft manager Stefano Santinelli will be operational manager of the health business. A new law for electronic health records is expected to be passed in two years; the Swiss post also offers this service.
