Swisscom test 450 Mbps via LTE+, commercial launch in 2015

Swisscom has started testing mobile data speeds up to 450 Mbps via LTE+ and expects to offer the service to consumers by the end of 2015. The operator is also testing Voice over LTE services which are expected to become commercially available in the summer of 2015. Swisscom claims a coverage of more than 94 percent for its LTE network and plans to have LTE-A access with 300 Mbps as theoretical speed for 30 percent by the end of 2015 mainly in the cities of Berne, Biel, Lausanne, Zurich, Geneva, Lucerne, Lugano and Basel.
