Swisscom to start switch to all-IP network from 2018

Swisscom announced it plans to convert the first four regions of Switzerland to a full-IP network from the start of 2018. The operator said around three-quarters of its customers (1.6 million) are already using IP services, after the company started the transition four years ago. Up to 40,000 more customers are migrated each month, and practically all residential customers will be using IP-based products by the end of 2017.
