Swisscom unveils ADSL/VDSL/FTTH router

Swisscom has unveiled a new generation of xDSL router called Centro grande. The router support both ADSL and VDSL technology, offers WLAN 802.11n and will also be available in a fibre-optic-compatible version on request. The new router will be available in Swisscom Shops from the beginning of August of this year. The electricity consumption of the Centro! grande in standby mode has been reduced by more than 25 per cent compared with current WLAN routers. Users can also reduce their energy consumption by switching WLAN off when they don't need a wireless connection, by pressing the ECO button
