Syn contests Siminn damages claim over TV feed

Vodafone Iceland's parent company Syn, which also runs online newspaper Visir.is, certain TV and radio stations and part of 365 Midlar, said that Siminn is suing it in court. Siminn is seeking ISK 555.21 million in compensation and ISK 10 million in punitive damages with interest, penalties and legal costs, for distributing Siminn TV content to Syn customers from 01 October 2015 to 16 December 2015 without Siminn's consent.
