Synamedia extends partnership deal with India's Airtel

Synamedia has extended its partnership agreement with Indian operator Bharti Airtel. The new multi-year contract builds on Airtel's 12-year partnership with Synamedia. The extended contract will see Synamedia work with Airtel on enhancements to its multi-lingual EPG and additional features and functionality. Airtel will continue to use Synamedia VideoGuard to protect its investments in live sports, news, entertainment and other content delivered to its 16 million DTH subscribers, and manage an monetize services on STBs using Synamedia's foundation platform.
