T-Mobile Austria reports 1 million M2M SIM cards worldwide

T-Mobile Austria, as an M2M hub of Deutsche Telekom, has announced a milestone of 1 million M2M SIM cards worldwide. Customers of M2M services in Austria include e. g. Konica Minolta Business Solutions Austria, Austrian Lotteries or Wurth. T-Mobile uses NB-IoT technology, which is currently able to meet 70-80 percent of the requirements of the M2M and IoT segments. In spring, the operator demonstrated the application of NB-IoT to smart parking in Vienna, in cooperation with Huawei.
