T-Mobile CR sees first eSIM cards in H1 2016

T-Mobile Czech Republic, as part of Deutsche Telekom group, said it's actively participating in the development of an open standard for the so-called embedded SIM card (eSIM). This will make the Sim a permanent part of a device that can be activated and administered remotely. According to Vladimir Klein, CTO at T-Mobile, the operator aims to introduce the first phones with eSIM in 2016 and expects a massive development of the technology in 2017 and 2018. He expects that the traditional plastic SIM cards will stop being used within ten years. Deutsche Telekom already launched the eSIM
