T-Mobile Netherlands tests LTE in 2,100 MHz band

T-Mobile Netherlands has started testing 3G spectrum in the 2,100 MHz band for LTE services, Tweakers reports. This could help raise its maximum 4G speed to 300 Mbps from 225. The company is using 10 MHz of the total 20 MHz it holds in the 3G band. The news follows the recent extension of 3G licences, which also made the spectrum technology-neutral. T-Mobile started its 4G roll-out in the 1,800 MHz band and this year added the 900 MHz band to boost speeds and activate LTE-Advanced.
