T-Mobile US challenges AT&T, Verizon to join renewable electricity goals

Wednesday 31 January 2018 | 08:18 CET | News

After announcing it wants to fully move to renewable electricity by 2020, T-Mobile US has now started the #CleanUpWireless Challenge. The company will commit USD 500,000 to a non-profit dedicated to advancing clean energy initiatives and will double that amount if either AT&T or Verizon join in the commitment by 1 June. If both join, the amount will triple to USD 1.5 million.

As part of the challenge, T-Mobile US is calling on people to go to the Green America “Hang Up on Fossil Fuels” campaign page and let AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson and Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam know they should match T-Mobile’s commitment, through the Randall@AT&T and Lowell@Verizon, as well as the @AT&T and @Verizon social media accounts.
