T-Mobile US doubles average 5G speeds on Philadelphia network thanks to Sprint spectrum

Saturday 30 May 2020 | 06:31 CET | News
T-Mobile US saw its speeds on its network in Philadelphia double thanks to the use of Sprint 5G airwaves there, according to a report from Ookla Speedtest. The company doubled 5G average speeds to 120Mbps following the activation of 2.5GHz 5G in Philly. T-Mobile's smaller 5G rollout in New York City, which only affects small parts of the city, led to a 25 percent rise in speeds, to 99Mbps from 79Mbps.
