T-Mobile US releases its first transparency report

T-Mobile US has released its first transparency report, covering 2013 and 2014. The operator received approximately 351,940 requests for customer information in 2014, 10.8 percent more than in 2013. In 2014, about 3.6 percent of the requests were from third parties in connection with civil matters such as insurance claims, divorce and personal injury cases. The remainder was from federal, state or local law enforcement. Criminal and civil subpoenas, required for name, address and call detail information, accounted for 177,549 of the requests.
