T-Mobile US starts using 700 MHz in Philadelphia area

T-Mobile US has launched its 'Extended Range LTE' service, which using 700 MHz spectrum, in the Philadelphia metro area. The new spectrum carries the LTE signal twice as far from towers, for a massive coverage expansion, and also works four times better in buildings than before. The service is available now to customers with 700 MHz-compatible devices. T-Mobile invites subscribers to check their devices' compatibility and upgrade through the Jump! On Demand instalment payment service. In eleven months, T-Mobile has aggressively rolled out airwaves known as 700 MHz in 203 major metro areas
