Tablet shipments to rise 4.5% to around 44.3 mln units in Q4 - study

Monday 4 November 2019 | 10:55 CET | News
Global tablet shipments are expected to rise 4.5 percent year-on-year in the fourth quarter, boosted by seasonality effects, advance order requests after the imposition of extra US tariffs on China-sourced tablets, and higher volumes at Huawei from the second half of the year, according to the latest study from Digitimes. Total shipment numbers should reach levels seen in the third quarter, at around 44.32 units. Shipments at the time lifted 1.5 percent from the year earlier but jumped 35.5 percent on a sequential basis.
