Tablets mainly used for e-mails, newspapers in France

Tablets are mainly used by the French for reading e-mails and newspapers, while recorded TV is more popular among people with a connected TV than those with a normal TV, according to a survey by Mediametrie on the use of screen-based devices. Viewing personal photos or videos (57 percent of users) came in as the second most popular activity among tablet users, followed by listening to radio or music (55 percent), viewing recorded or downloaded videos (44 percent), and watching videos on video-sharing sites or watching live or recorded television.
