Tablets used on average for 71 minutes a day - study

Tablets have become mainstream products in Germany and are used for an average of 71 minutes a day, according to the Mobile Monitor 2014 report from Goldmedia Custom Research, supported by Deutsche Telekom. Facebook and WhatsApp are the most popular apps for German tablet users, with over one third of tablets shared between users. The market has several strong suppliers, with only around one third (36%) of tablet buyers selecting an Apple iPad. Samsung accounts for 22 percent of the market, followed by Acer in 3rd place with 9 percent.
