TagTagCity named European start-up of the year in Luxemburg

Belgian start-upTagTagCity was named the European start-up of the year at the ICT Awards held in Luxemburg, DataNews reporeted. The new company developed a platform that allows shops or institutions to create a mobile website quickly, easily and cheaply co-founder Stijn Vander Plaetse said. The sites are accessible via stickers holding a QR code, a short URL and an integrated NFC chip. Smartphone users can enter the short URL code in their navigator, or scan the QR code or wave their device in front of the NFC chip to reach the site. No app is needed, at least not at this stage.
