Taiwan sets up 5G open networking experiment platform with Cisco

Taiwan's Industrial Development Bureau teamed up with US networking software and hardware specialist Cisco to set up the country's first 5G open networking experiment platform, writes Taiwanese publication DigiTimes.com citing minister of National Development Council MH Kung and Cisco. The platform will be set up at Cisco's smart innovation application centre in Taoyuan, northern Taiwan, and participating firms include Foxconn Technology, Compal Electronics, Inventec, Pegatron, Sercomm, Accton Technology and Alpha Networks.
