Taiwan to invest TWD 2.4 bln in 5G R&D in 2017-20

The Taiwanese government has assigned an annual budget of TWD 600 million (approximately USD 18.2 million) for research and development of 5G technologies in the 2017-2020 period, DigiTimes reports. The recipients of R&D grants will be existing research organizations.
